The Truth is.....He does exist.....

Understandably we as humans want rationale and proof of everything. As most of you know, having a relationship with God is very faith based. For years, I myself pondering on the evidence of Christianity. How do we know for sure that there is a God or that he hears us. From personal experience of having these same questions I relate to those searching and those who have questions. I once was told by a very wise and educated Pastor to encourage someone who is very scientific to pray for one  month, everyday and see at the end of that month if their life had changed. Great advice, I believe, because as a believer I know God can move mountains and more, in 30 days. I was recently watching a series of shows that a researcher is proving Jesus existed scientifically. While, I myself am a very scientific person, I was intrigued and excited to see someone researching one of the most important subjects around. I could go on and on with what I believe is proof that God exists, but what I was most excited about is how God has evolved with us. As our society becomes more educated and has more questions He is directing us to uncover His truths in a way that we can understand and believe. Yes, to me that is just another way to further the kingdom. It is so exciting to me, especially working in a field where my ministry involves debate and question from those who I minister to. These new findings that are constantly being discovered help me to explain and therefore bring people to Christ. I do not feel obliged to believe that same God who endowed us with sense, reason, and intellect had intended for us to forgo their use. Galileo Of course I could go on about how God has changed my life and my family, but I would encourage you to find out for yourself how Great and Real He is. Pray, educate yourself with the Word and do some research. Truth is out there waiting for you to find it. For those who do believe, I encourage you to do the same so you can be teachers of the Truth. If God exists in you, He has made you to minister, prepare yourself. This is a time where people have questions and not only should we live the way we were intended to live, but we should prepare ourselves to teach and minister. Lord, today I ask for knowledge. Give me clarity, so I may be clear to minister your Word.

We all have different seasons!

As this new year is well under way, as most, there is so much to reflect on. We welcomed our second child into this world, which was amazing. My husband left his stable, well paying job to do what he loves. Ups and downs of many different sizes. I have been reminded recently that there is a season for everything and everyone. I hear other mothers constantly comparing themselves to other women and killing themselves to keep up with the notion that they must do EVERYTHING. He will restore you!!

Some of you know that I am pregnant, we are so blessed to be expanding our family. Between pregnancy,  work,  school, church and family I have had a hard lesson in how life cannot be planned. Though, we think and desire to plan every little thing in our lives, sometimes what we have planned is not what is really in the plan. God has really stretched me in so many ways. Physically I have been challenged, emotionally I have been stretched and I have had to let go and lean on other people way beyond my comfort zone. The amazing thing is that no matter how my day to day is unfolding, I know that God is right there orchestrating every detail, no matter how minor. When I think about how much He loves me to carefully manuever things in my life for my good, honestly, I get emotional. It's All Relative

A phrase I have heard repeatedly over the last month or so, "it's all relative." The first time it came up  was in regard to the size of my newborn. I mentioned  to his pediatrician that he was so small at 7lbs 10oz and her response was "that's relative because he is not small just small compared to his brother" (who was 9lbs 5oz). Yes, of course this was accurate. Anyway, over the next couple of weeks it kept coming up, how things are relative. Well all this talk of relativity got me thinking of how this relates to our journey with God. Our circumstances are relative to our experiences and our knowledge, but more importantly our experiences.
