Today I am thinking about my grandfather. Not only a retired chaplin in the navy, he was a minister and my grandfather. He did not die while serving in the military, but he did serve in so many ways. During church yesterday I was reminded by my Pastor that God promises our inheritance to our children and our grandchildren. This reminded me where I came from and how now, as an adult and parent, I realize that my grandparents prayed and believed for me. Not only for themselves, but for me. What a blessing I received from them. Not only did my grandfather serve our country, his congregations, and many others in need, he served me. He left a legacy that I can be proud of and pass on to my children and grandchildren. Today Lord, I thank you for my grandfather, John Fryer for blessing me as his grandchild. Though he now watches over us from heaven, his spirit stays with me because of you and your promise.
Let's talk about freedom in Christ while living in this real world that desires to keep us in bondage. We are called. We are free. Now let's walk in what we are and who He is! In Jesus Name!
