So much has happened since the last time I posted on this blog, but I have felt a draw to begin to write and communicate more. What does freedom look like? So many of us desire to be free. Freedom from addiction, depression, insecurity, and list goes on and on. The reality is that Jesus did not die on a cross so we could live bound to the chains and strongholds. He is alive and calling us to be free. My last post years ago was about my calling and those who struggling knowing their calling and I am happy to report that even though I know I have not fully stepped into the fullness of what God has called me to do, I can confidently say I am walking in my purpose and loving each day. Am I the only one who struggled knowing what my true call was? We go through life and do the things that are expected of us and sometimes we haven't found our true calling. Does this mean we are not close to God? I don't think so at all! I'm 35 and have been in the field of nursing for a decade. I love my job and it has allowed me to provide for my family and be a part of peoples lives during their most difficult times. Recently though, my husband left his well paying job to take his "dream" job. I thought....man how nice, to know that this is the job he dreams of and God literally created this opportunity for him.
